Dear Yoga Practitioner,

I hope you’re enjoying being in your own skin… sensing your human-animal beingness and taking some time out from social media, news and all those distractions from being in real life. While chaos abounds and nonsense prevails in the outer world, it feels more helpful to focus on cultivating ease and steadiness within. When we tend to ourselves, our energy, our health, and our loving connections, we create a solid, strong base from which to act when the time comes.

Above is a shorter part 2 of my chat with Oli (her details are below so you can find out more about her very special online offerings). I love this part of the interview in which we delve into the yoga philosophy and how it relates to our lives, our beingness and the therapeutic benefits of yoga. The sound is a little weird, it goes in and out but is fairly clear, I hope you find a way to balance the loud and the quiet.

Speaking of balance, we are in the energies of Equinox, which happened on Thursday 20th March. I don’t usually talk about astrology, but the planetary alignments are conveying a sense of radical, profound and fundamental change. There is a very strong theme of endings and new beginnings. It might be helpful to consciously consider what change you would like to see in yourself and in your world.

Some questions to ask yourself during this time might be. “What aspects of my recent life experience would I like to leave in the past?” and conversely “What experiences, that I have been dreaming of, planning for, and working towards, would I like to embrace and fully incorporate into my life going forward?”

Taking time to consider this, perhaps using a journalling or discussing with a good friend, will be time well spent. Right now we are still in the liminal dreaming time, but it is not long now (sometime in May) when we will feel the impetus to move forward in our new, more aligned and purposeful directions.

I’m feeling these energies in two ways… the transition I’m experiencing right now from yoga teacher to yoga therapist (and eventually integrated yoga psychotherapist); and working towards the launch of The Yoga Well charity. Certainly, The Yoga Well is still in the gestation period. If all goes to plan, we will be launching the charity sometime in May and start to launch the yoga therapy courses for back care and anxiety and depression in the Autumn of 2025.

Enjoy your journalling, dreaming and inner house cleaning and I will be back next week!

With love and good wishes,

Julia xx
